The Embassy of the Republic of Uganda in Algeria participated in the above event represented by the CDA (ai). It was held in Algiers from 25 - 29 April 2023.  The opening ceremony was opened by the Algerian Minister for Culture on 27 April 2023. It was a capacity building regional venture for national focal points on periodic reporting under the 2003 Convention for safeguarding intangible cultural heritage in Africa and funded by the Algeria government.

Uganda was represented by Ms. Cecilia from the Ministry of Gender, labour and Social Development.
